I bought a converted van from The Campervan Factory in December 2019, so had it a while to to be able to provide a longer term review.
Dealing with The Campervan Factory throughout the purchase and conversion (it was mid conversion when I purchased it, and I had a few extra bits added to the spec) was good. They quickly and professionally sorted out minor teething issues post purchase.
Since my purchase the van has been to another auto electrician who added a solar panel, and he was complementary of the standard of work in the conversion.
Whilst hunting for a camper I came across a few vehicles (from other places) that were not in great condition. This was a particular area of concern as I didn’t want to spend money on a converted van that had previous been mistreated and wouldn’t be reliable. The Campervan factory assured me they are very selective when purchasing vans for conversion.
This has been ratified since by a local trusted VAG specialist when I took the van for its first MOT and service. They commented on the good condition of the vehicle for a van of its mileage and age.
Overall really happy with my experience dealing with The Campervan Factory and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality conversion with crash tested seats and high level spec (proper black out curtains, robust units, reliable electrics).

We would highly recommend the Campervan Factory. We have just had our T6 converted and couldn't be happier with all aspects of the service and craftsmanship. We received what felt like a very personalised service with all questions answered without feeling like we were a nuisance, photographic updates and a fast and efficient turnaround. Marks initial demonstration and handover were very thorough and Sandy couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks very much, we are now looking forward to many happy holidays....... when we are allowed!!

Highly rate this company! Service from the start has been 100%. Even through these hard times (Corona) emails have been answered and Warranties adjusted. So much confidence in The Campervan Factory!

We have just returned from a two week tour of Europe, we went on tunnel then drove down France and onto south Germany we continued into Switzerland then Austria back up to Colditz on to Koblenz through Holland Belgium and finally back to France for the tunnel. 2400 miles fully loaded and averaged 700 miles to the tank. The van didn't miss a beat I was soooo impressed. I have attached a couple of pictures for your website. Mate I am so happy with the van. I wanted to express my satisfaction with your service. The quality of the fit out and fridge which made ice in 39°c is great bed comfortable for 2 adults. We've done lots of weekends away but this was 2 weeks living in the van, loved it.

Managed a weeks holiday, few weekends away plus many day/evening trips to date with many more to come. People we've met have been very complimentary on the quality and finish on the van and your company name has been passed out o them.

On 28 April 2016 we took delivery of our amazing new T5 Campervan and completed what must be a 10 year mission of thinking about, planning for and
eventually tracking down our ideal van. We contacted and visited several companies offering campervans for sale and conversion services. We came
away from some places feeling disappointed with what was on offer and getting the distinct feeling that we were dealing with people who were more
concerned with selling us an ‘off the shelf’ product (at the highest possible price) than providing us with a Campervan to suit our needs.
After exhaustive internet research we came across the Campervan Factory and were really impressed with the testimonials from some of its satisfied
customers. A quick telephone conversation with Craig convinced us that this could be the company to meet our needs. We met Craig the following
week when he showed us around his site and patiently answered all our questions. Craig assured us he could source a quality van and convert it within
our ever shrinking time scale (now only about 8 weeks before our planned trip to Spain) but he stressed that there was no pressure to buy any van he
sourced if we were not completely happy with it. He took the time to find out what we wanted and explained all the options, guiding us through the
process and giving us the benefit of his extensive knowledge of campervans. Amazingly (for us), the conversion was completed in less than 3 weeks
and Craig kept in touch throughout the process, regularly sending us photographs of the work in progress.
Craig and his colleagues make a great team - friendly, courteous and highly skilled. The workmanship is of outstanding quality and the attention to
detail is very impressive. The Campervan Factory goes the extra mile and believes in putting the customer first. We are absolutely delighted with the
finished product. It is stunning!

So we had been looking for the right van and the right converter for about a year. We really struggled to find the right van for us, we had a quite specific requirement. We had seen a number of converters and were getting information overload and felt like it was never going to happen for us. We decided to go and have a chat with Craig, he made it all see very straight forward. 

Craig was amazingly patient with us, he went through everything for us and also had time to take the questions from the kids. He was confident that he could find us the van we wanted and advised us on all the various conversion options.  

Within a few weeks Craig had found us a number of van options, we asked him to check one out and buy it if it was good. Craig travelled to inspect the van and called us to report on it. We agreed to buy it and Craig brought it back for us.  

Once the van was back we went to Craig’s workshop where he ran through the conversion colours and equipment options. Craig made it so straightforward, he is very knowledgeable and was so willing to seek out options to suit our needs. We were kept in the loop throughout the conversion with pictures and emails on progress. The quality of the workmanship was excellent, we were really pleased. We really felt like the guys working on the conversion treated the van as if it were their own.  

Just as the van was nearing completion we went to see Craig, who talked us through how everything worked and answered all our questions from insurance to hook-up cable. The van looked amazing, it was like a brand new campervan. Craig sorted out all the DVLA stuff and delivered the van to us. 

We have had the van home for a week now and are so pleased with it, we can’t wait for the better weather to allow us to get out and use it properly. 

We can not praise Craig and his team highly enough, they have dealt with our wishes and questions without hesitation and always with a smile. The quality of the service and the conversion have exceed our expectations and more importantly our hopes. 

If anyone wants to see our van and have a real conversation about the whole experience we would be more than happy to do so. 

The most important thing for us was to find someone we could trust. Buying and converting a van is not only a big financial decision but also an emotional journey. Craig really is a honest and trustworthy guy, who has pride in what he and his team produce. We are absolutely sure we made the right decision.

I have been looking for a campervan for several months, and finally found
the perfect one, from a great converter, the Campervan Factory.
Craig has done me proud, by taking a really good second hand base VWT5 and
adding a great conversion, of traditional layout but with modern styling,
all at a very competitive price. His service extended to customising the van
further to my ideal van, which many converters don't offer.
I've found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and honest.
After sales service has also proven to be very good.

"The kids have just gone back to school after a fun filled summer holiday.  This year we've spent lots of time travelling round the country in our T5 converted by The Camper Van Factory.  From t Devon to Dorset, Wales to Wiltshire, Exmoor to Norfolk.  Fresh air, BBQs and toasted marshmallows on the campfire!
We have been really thrilled with the van, the layout, build quality and attention to detail is excellent and on our travels I have not seen a better conversion.  We've found cupboard space and under seat storage was great for how we use it.  The pop up roof  is sturdy, comfortable and simple to operate (unlike some others we have seen).
My wife was a little apprehensive about driving a "big vehicle" but after her first drive commented "you can't help but smile" .
Craig helped us source and advised us on the donor van.  He guided us through the build, no question was too small.   He made what initially seemed like a daunting process with a multitude of options and choices - simple. 
Craig has clearly done lots of conversions and knows what works and what doesn't and that has been proved in the design.
I cannot speak highly enough of Craig and his highly talented team at the The Camper Van Factory.  Courteous, honest and no pushy sales.   We are very happy and looking forward to many more happy trips!    Thank you!

We have had it mind to get a camper van for the last 5 years, and last year we eventually decided to take the plunge.  However we were fairly unprepared the minefield that actually sourcing a VW camper involved.  After months of trawling ads on the internet and weighing up options we were still no nearer.  Until, that is a friend mentioned the campervan factory and Craig and his team.  Craig took all the hard work and confusion out of the process.  Once we had made the decision to use the campervan factory, we had a brand new conversion exactly as we wanted within 6 weeks, with the whole process taking place over email and phone (as we live about 100 miles away). Craig really knew what he was talking about and we were confident in his ability to source a van and deliver the conversion to suit our needs. We were not disappointed! communication throughout the conversion was superb and the whole process was completely hassle free and painless.  We all love the new addition to our family and have already enjoyed a few overnight trips out!
We would have no hesitation at all in recommending the Campervan factory!

After a lot of research and searching the internet / VW shows for a T5 camper I found 'The Camper Van Factory' and I'm so glad i did. 

I had looked at many conversions but found the layout and quality of Craig's and his team to be outstanding. He discussed with me what i mainly wanted the van for and made sure i got the spec i needed, paying attention to the fact that i wanted to be able to carry passengers in the back on the bed seat and therefore making sure i purchased a vehicle that had the seatbelts and rear seat crash tested. (something i could quite easily have overlooked when there are so many things to think of when buying a van). I now have the beauty of being able to carry passengers in the back with peace of mind. He really is conscious of getting you the right van for your needs. Craig gave me a complete run through about the van when i picked it up and the after sales service has been brilliant too, they have always be helpful whenever I've had questions regarding my van. Everyone who has seen my van comments on the quality of the conversion and appliances fitted from the 'Smev' stove, 'Waeco' fridge and 'Smart bed' as well as plenty of storage cupboards.

I would recommend Craig and the Campervan workshop to anyone wanting an outstanding conversion and service.

We visited Craig over two years ago to see our VW in its stripped down state. After discussion and, having visited other converters, we waited for the delivery of our camper.  Craig's attention to detail and design for the interior has proved to be very practical. The cupboard space is deceptive and the small units above the window are a useful extra not always included on other conversions. The self closing bed, roof boards, mattress and hard wearing floor covering are included again these can be supplements for other companies.  On collection Craig explained all the electrics and gadgets in detail as well as answering later questions once we had been out in the van.  After nearly 100 nights camping, in sun and snow, we eagerly await each excursion.  We have bought a small oil filled thermostatic Delonghi radiator which, when on hook up, keeps us warm day and night. Small cube boxes are great for clothes and footrest/stools. The multirail is perfect for attaching the awning so that we can easily detach and drive away. 

Whether for long holidays on the continent, touring around, overnight accommodation for a wedding or a quick brew for a picnic the VW fits the bill!

 We love it!

"We had wanted a camper for over 2 years, and made it our wedding present that everyone could contribute towards. Before and after the wedding we looked high and low for our 'ideal' van. There were hardly any with the spec we wanted within our budget. We then saw one of Craig's vans and we on route to see it when it was sold! Thankfully Craig offered to stay in touch. He explained his depth of knowledge and experience as a convertor and explained to us why he was cheaper then other supposed convertors, essentially that he did actually do the conversions where as others who claimed to often sent their vans to him! Craig listened to what we wanted and, to his credit, refused to sell a van over the internet, politely insiting we come and look at an example of his work, and discuss face to face our requirements. This to avoid disappointment or confusion, he is rightly proud of his company reputation and won't risk that for a quick sale. Craig then, without ever making demands, used his experience to advise and gently guide us in the right directions. He took care of everything, keeping us updated throughout. The van was sourced and completed within a month and is absolutely superb. We could not be happier with it and the build quality and finish is outstanding. We had looked at many 'high quality' conversions, and none came close to this standard. He takes pride in his work and it shines through. He's also very easy to get along with which helps a great deal. We are thrilled with our van, it was worth waiting for. We couldn't recommend Craig and the Campervan workshop highly enough."

I would like to thank Bailey Conversions for the conversion they have done on my VW T5.
I had the conversion done Feb 2012, I am very happy with the quality of the workmanship, appliances and the communication throughout the conversion.
Craig, answered all my questions before, during and after the work was completed.
I was sent pictures every couple of days of the work being done, and it filled me with confidence knowing I was getting my monies worth.
I live over 150 miles away from the workplace, however nothing was too much trouble for them when I was arranging to deliver and collect my van.

I have recommended Bailey Conversions to many people, and will continue to do.
